Biography

David Scott has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting. He provides accounting and taxation services to closely held businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals. David specializes in a broad range of partnership and corporate tax matters as well as individual income tax services. He is proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office. He also has extensive experience in state and local taxes and provides estate planning services for his clients.

In addition to his accounting experience, David also has proudly been a cattle farmer. From 1999 to 2022, he managed a 150-head commercial beef cattle operation on the family farm near Hodges, AL. David resides in Decatur with his wife Morgan County Revenue Commissioner Amanda Scott.
